Bullring Bloggers Event

When I saw that the Bullring wanted local bloggers to get in touch, I decided to go for it even though I was only a newbie blogger. So imagine my excitement when I got an email back asking whether I'd like to come to a bloggers event they were hosting!

The Bullring is the epitome of a brilliant shopping centre, where customer service is of the finest. If you're a regular you'll know that they always have shows and promotions going on, and really get customers involved.

Due to this being my first event and not having been a blogger for very long, I wasn't sure what to expect. However, another email informed me that Selfridges and many beauty houses would be in attendance!!! I was so excited and nervous at the same time!

I got there before 6pm and signed in at the reception. I then met a lovely blogger and we got chatting, it was her first event too so we were both in the same boat. More bloggers started arriving and everyone was really nice and friendly, and we then went into the main suite.

As soon as I walked in, I was stunned by all the effort they had gone too. We were surrounded by makeup counters and makeup artists who had brought a lot of products for us to look at. We were then guided to a snack and drinks table, and everybody started taking photographs of this beauty.

Bullring Bloggers Snacks

There was also another cake and lots of snacks (perfect for us chocoholics)

After we had grabbed our snacks we started visting the counters. I first went to the wagamama counter where the lovely lady talked us through her menu and showed me some vegetarian options I would like. She told us they would be bringing us some to try out. Soon enough I got to try out a lovely dish which was like cooked vegetables on a bed of salad (unfortunately I didn't remember to take a picture). They also brought in some Nando's chicken.

We then went to the Karen Millen counter where the wonderful lady talked us through the upcoming trends which I loved, and showed us that Karen Millen are expanding, and they're not simply a brand for dresses.

I couldn't wait to check out the Armani Counter. When we went over we first had a look at the lipsticks.

Armani CC lipsticks

The red ones are their new lipsticks: rouge ecstasy, the first cc lipstick. The cc stands for color and care, so it's basically a lipstick and lip balm in one. It retails for £26.50 in Selfridges.

Armani highlighters

Here you can see their foundations, and the cute bottles behind the foundations are highlighters in a range of shades. Now I can see you thinking pink highlighters?? These are a new revolution in the makeup world, instead of highlighters as we know them, they're meant to enhance what you wear over them. They give a subtle glow. So for example, you may wear the pink highlighter and then wear a pink blush over it.

Armani Brow powders for contouring
Now onto the most exciting bit. These are again a new revelation. Armani have teamed up with the Loreal hair experts to create a set of powders that are matched by your hair colour and undertone. This then creates the perfect brow powder. However, that's not all! They're designed to mimic a shadow with their slight grey undertone, and therefore double up as an amazing personalised contour. Lately I've really been interested in using powders that are slightly grey as a contour rather than bronzers so I couldn't wait to try this out. It was amazing! The shade blended into my skin effortlessly and if I didn't know I would have thought there was nothing on my skin. She then used one of the highlighters and voila, I had cheekbones!

These aren't on the website yet as we were given a sneak peek but watch out for them! Also, thank you to the ladies who talked me through all of their products and did my makeup, I loved it!

I then went over to the Folli Follie counter.

The lovely lady talked us through their new jewellery and bag ranges. Their jewellery is so beautiful, and unique. Plus they have a great range of gold watches, they're quite a big brand already in America.

We were then all given a presentation by umberto giannini, which was about how they have created a new line to help girls embrace their natural curls. This is a great one to watch if you struggle with frizzy or dry curly hair. They also very kindly gave us a lovely goody bag.

I then went to the Shu Uemura counter and had a look at their eyelash curler, and their eyeshadows which are crazy pigmented.

I then went to the RMK counter where I had a look at their cream foundations, which would be great for any type of skin. We were given a lovely, incredibly cute goody bag with samples to try out.

I then had a look at the Clarins counter, and they're currently doing a promotion where they help you get from a day to a night look by adding a capsule of essentials.

I've been having quite a few skincare concerns lately so I used this opportunity to go to the Khiels counter. She showed me the products that would be best for my dry skin, and also for sensitive skin. The Khiels ultra facial range is free of alcohol and gentle on skin. We were then very kindly given a lovely goody bag with lots of samples which I can't wait to try out.

Lastly I checked out the Urban Decay counter.

Urban decay flushed palette shades

Urban decay naked palettes

They had their palettes there and just like everyone I've been intrigued by the Naked 3 since it came out, however I didn't think the rosy tones would work on my medium skintone with slight yellow undertones. However, I was proved wrong, the makeup artist applied my eyeshadow and used shades that I would never have though of using and it looked amazing! I didn't want to wash it off. So a big thank you to Saffy from Debenhams and Jack from selfridges for making us feel so pampered.

Urban decay lash perversion
I also got a chance to look at the new mascara, perversion which is being released on the 4th of August, and I'm sure it'll be a sell out.

Urban decay flushed
I then had a look at the new shades of the naked flushed palette which they have out, which is a bronzer, blush and highlighter in one.

Overall, I had a wonderful time, I was a bit like a kid in a sweet shop. If you ever have a chance to go to one of these events then you must go! Due to this post being so long, I'm going to talk through the goody bags in my next post. I'm very grateful that I got to attend this event.

A big thank you to Emma and the rest of the Bullring team for being absolutely lovely! xx
