Best Buys for Beating The January Blues

Many of us feel the pinch after the great Christmas shop and with that in mind the Fort Birmingham, which is an out of town shopping centre, have come up with a campaign called ‘Best Buys for Beating The January Blues’ to get us out enjoying shopping on a budget.

I was invited to create an outfit for under £50 and with the vast array of fashion retailers in the Fort it was a challenge that I was quite excited about. They have everything from Oasis, Warehouse, Miss Selfridge, New Look, Next, Debenhams and Dorothy Perkins to name just a few, so some of my favourite shops in there. The Fort Shopping park is located in Castle Bromwich, just off the M6.

This is also my first outfit post, so without further ado...

Metallic Vest Top* – Next £14
Cardigan* – New Look £19.99
Jeans* – New Look £12.99
Shoes - Own

This lovely sparkly top is from Next, I was immediately drawn to it because in winter we often get used to wearing plain coloured jumpers and I wanted something that stood out a bit. This is perfect for dressing up an otherwise plain outfit and it could also be dressed up with some tailored trousers.

The midi cardigan from New Look is from their new season and as well as being stylish, it’s super comfy and warm too.

Lastly, the skinny jeans are also from New Look. They have a big range of various styles so it’s quite easy finding a fit that you like.

That’s not all! The Fort are also giving away £50 of vouchers to eliminate those January blues. All you have to do is comment, retweet or favourite your favourite outfit from the three bloggers on the Fort's page. Here is the link to mine.

I hope you enjoyed this post and good luck!

  7. the metallic top is def a good piece to have in a wardrobe and i've been looking for a good one that doesn't look too flashy or cheap. i think you've got a good option here and it looks sleek and pared down with just jeans and cosy long cardigan.
