Francesco Group Review

Recently I was invited to a complimentary cut and blow dry at the Francesco Group salon in Birmingham. If you're a regular visitor to House of Fraser you've probably noticed that the Francesco group salon lies at the back of the store, so you get to pass all the beauty counters and shoe displays  on your way there! Located in the city centre it's a convenient location, and another excuse to get some shopping in!

It's really easy to book an appointment, they do an online booking system too. You get to pick which stylist you want, it also shows their price points so you can tailor it to suit your budget.

As you can see from the (dreadful) before picture I had some layers added at my last visit to a salon, and unfortunately they had grown out leaving quite a blunt look!

When I went for my appointment my stylist Grace took a while to talk me through what kind of look I wanted. I liked having some short layers in, and so we agreed on redoing them so they blended in better. I've always had medium-longish hair and so we kept the length, but decided to trim the ends so it looked healthier.

First of all, I got my hair washed and conditioned using some nice high end products. They also have screens covering the whole hairdressing area so you don't really feel self conscious. I then went back to my seat where Grace talked me though what she was about to do before the scissors came out. Once that was over I then got my hair blow dried. You can choose what finish you would like and so I decided to go for a more glamorous volumized look so I could see how I would go about recreating it at home (not that there's much chance of that happening!).

Overall, I really liked the look! The whole experience was also very luxurious, and the staff are always so polite. My hair also looks so much better in general, no more blunt edges! This post was actually from a couple of months back, but I couldn't upload it due to computer problems, and I have already booked my next appointment which I'm looking forward to!

I hope you enjoyed this post!
