An Overdue Post

So where to start? Basically some time ago in 2015 (I'm still getting used to the fact it's 2016!) I won a giveaway from Pink Frenzy's blog, however it was smackbang in the middle of my exams and before I knew it the year had past me by. Nevertheless, I couldn't not mention all the effort she went into so here I am with a quick (these are never really quick though are they) lowdown on the goodies.

First of all, the goodies came in this YSL makeup bag, seriously how cute is this! I love it and it would be perfect if I ever needed to travel overnight.

Then I got a whole heap of lip products which is always very exciting! The lipglosses above are by Makeup Revolution London. The clear one is called Free (a bit strange), then we have the bright barbie pink called Baby try and then finally the nudey pink called Not Naive. These are semi sheer with a very glossy finish.

The Cheeky lips stain by Oriflame Veryme can be used on both the lips and cheeks. In the tube it looks like a very deep purple however it gives the perfect vampy/just bitten look. It has a gel-liquid texture that means it can be built up unlike some tints that are too watery.

The packaging of these Kat Von D studded kiss lipsticks certainly threw me! I wasn't even sure these were lipsticks to begin with. Anyway I got the shades Lovecraft, a mauvey taupeand Agatha, a nude pink beige.

On my lips Lovecraft came off much lighter than I was expecting but I actually quite like it, plus I feel like I see so many people wearing variations of this colour so I'm glad I can try out the trend for myself. The formula of these lipsticks is matter than matte!

I also got to try some Makeup Revolution mono eyeshadows in the shades: Blow Your Whistle (a soft lilacy purple), Insomnia (a deep greyish purple with a lovely reflective sheen) and Base! (a really nice silvery gold with again a more reflective sheen rather than being shimmery). Base! would also double up as a very affordable highlighter!

I knew I would end up loving the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 hr in 65 Pink Gold before I even tried it as it's the most beautiful shade, an iridescent metallic pink with a champagne gold sheen (it's a tough one to describe!).

I don't own many MAC products but I'll admit that I have swooned over their eye pigments, and if you asked me what shade I wanted then it would have been exactly this: Old Gold. It's a lovely sparkly classic gold, and you can't really go far wrong with the classics right? Plus you just need the tiniest bit of the pigment so I can see this lasting me forever.

I also got some Nivea face masks and the Makeup Revolution Amazing Curl mascra in Black Brown.

Lastly, a massive thanks to Pink Frenzy as I loved trying all of these products out.

I hope you enjoyed this post!
